What is The Saucy Soul all about?
Teamwork makes the dream work
Yes, I am a coach. And yes I have spent time working on my mindset, but first and foremost I am human. I am Maria and Just like you, I am learning and growing every day and want to take you on this journey with me.
For years I was stuck in the perfectionist mindset, always worrying about what others thought of me, fearing shame, judgment, failure. Afraid to say no. Afraid to be disliked. Afraid to be seen as imperfect. I had unrealistic standards for myself. Always being busy, mentally draining myself. I would procrastinate, feeling irritated for procrastinating, and stress out trying to get things done last minute.
I would feel guilty for letting people down, and feel anxious for doing things that went against my values (again afraid to say no).
I was bullied as a child and of course, as a result of this, I did not want to world to see my imperfections. Unknown to myself I began to attain a perfectionist mindset and started having all of these behaviors.
I created a story (unknowingly). My story was this... 'people will judge me, even if I think they like me. If I act like them, like the things that they like, and do not show my imperfections, then they will like, love and accept me'
It was when I worked with my own coach that I could see that this story was no longer serving me. I wasn't even aware that I had this story until it started to become obvious that the reason I wasn't being myself, going after the life that I dreamed of having, and breaking past any fears of shame, judgment, and failure, was all down to the fact that this belief was deeply embedded in my thoughts.
Seeing this has created immense freedom for me.
But don't be fooled and think that I then, suddenly Perfected imperfection, this was certainly not the case. But I can now see my perfectionism behaviors more clearly and have the tools and knowledge to move forward, when they show up.
This is my passion, helping people, just like you to figure out your storey and breakthrough those old beliefs that are no longer serving ! This is a game-changer, and I know by doing this that we can move you forward, work on your goals. Create solid habits and live your best life. As a coach, it is my job and passion to support you like a member of my team.
